The Keelings Announce 15th Anniversary Concert Series | February 5, 2008
Dear Friends,
2008 marks the 15 year anniversary since The Keelings began singing gospel music. As we look back over the years, we are amazed and overwhelmed at the goodness of God and how He has blessed our family. We thank the Lord for the opportunities He has given and for the countless number of lives that we have had the privilege of touching. We have no regrets and would do it all over again.
In celebration of our 15-year anniversary, we have planned a series of concerts throughout the year to celebrate this milestone in our ministry.
Our first concert will take place on Friday, March 28, 2008 at 7:00 p.m. at Emmanuel Christian Church, located on Rt. 358 in Stoneboro, PA. This concert will highlight the beginning years and the history of The Keelings. A free ticket will be required for admission along with two or more non-perishable food items. All food items will be donated to the Lakeview Area Helping Hands. Tickets will be available after February 15th. A free-will offering will be lifted. This will also be the release night for Randy’s new solo project, One Heart, One Soul, One Voice, It will be a night to remember, so don’t miss it.
Our second and third concerts will occur as follows:
Summer Celebration, Friday, July 11, 2008, 7:00 p.m. at Lakeside EC church located on Rt.18 south, in Transfer, PA. A free ticket will be required for this concert. Also appearing with the Keelings will be the Pine Ridge Boys Quartet from Mooresville, NC. Tickets will be available after April 1st. A free will offering will be lifted.
Summer Celebration/Gospel Fest, Saturday, July 12, 2008, 6:00 p.m. at Chaparral Campgrounds located just off Rt. 45, north of Salem, OH. Appearing with The Keelings will be The Pine Ridge Boys from Mooresville, NC and The Singing Weavers from Atwater, OH. No ticket will be required for this concert. Concessions will be available, and the concert will take place in the large pavilion. Lawn chairs are also welcome. If you love Southern Gospel music, you won’t want to miss either of these nights. A free-will offering will be lifted.
Over the past fifteen years, we have seen many positive changes. This year, the face of our ministry will change again as we adapt to the ever-changing dynamics of our family. This year you will see some new faces at our concerts as we have added Mr. Ray Young as Sound Technician. Also, Mr. Pat Willaman, Lynn’s boyfriend, will be appearing with the family several times throughout the year. Pat has been doing a great job filling in on the Lead, Tenor and Baritone parts as needed. Additionally, you will see a few concerts that will just feature Randy in solo concert, appearing with Randy at most of his solo concerts will be, (you guessed it), Jeff, Doug and Lynn Keeling providing the backup for old Dad.
We’re excited about the new year and looking forward to the challenges that will come with it. We have enclosed our tentative concert itinerary through July, 2008. In addition to the concerts that we previously mentioned, please notice that we will be appearing at the Mercer County Courthouse bandstand in Mercer PA on July 25, 2008 for a 1 hr gospel music show prior to the Mercer Community Band Concert. Also on July 26, 2008, we will be one of three groups appearing for our first time at the Spartansburg, PA Gospel Concert Chicken BBQ/Ox Roast.
Please continue to check our website for additions or corrections to our itinerary and remember that you can now hear Southern Praise, a 30 min radio broadcast hosted by Randy Keeling online. Just follow the prompts, turn your speakers on, then kick back, relax, and listen.
Also coming in 2008, a new piano CD from Jeff and a new family CD featuring 2 new songs written by the Keelings, U-Turn and Endless Praise. Thanks for your prayers and continued support; we hope to see you at our next concert.
Sincerely,
The Keelings
